Ok so I was wondering wut would be best to tint the back lights of my car black: Using the self-puton-sticker type, or dying the color of the lights???

And... recently I got a quote for tints on my car (2009 Is 250) for all 7 Windows. And innitially I thought Max. it would be around $230 from a really good company/person, but this guy gave me a quote for $310. I know hes really good from other people.. And he also said that the actual price is $260, but he said since the 2009 IS model has the raised speakers on the sides, he highly recomended paying an extra $50 so they can remove the door frame and put on the tints. I still think it's too high of a price. Please give me your opinion. thanks.

 

all 2nd Gen IS has the raised twitter by the front doors.

I dont know what the first question was but i got my windows tinted for 175. With lifetime warranty. I would look around some more. What part of California are you from? Some of our members local to you may be able to point you to a good shop.

 

eh you get what you pay for. that being said i paid 250 flat to get my car tinted. they removed the door panels to do it. looking back if i had felt like dirivng im sure i could have gotten it done cheaper.

Just to let you know, the really good places charge around $400-$500. There's alot of member here who paid $400 for pinnacle formula 1 tint at Rocky Mountain Window Tint and many people regard them as THE best. The places that charge $500 use Huper Optik I think. Like other people have said, you really get what you pay for and any "good" tint place will remove the door panel to get to that little area behind the tweeter.

From what I know, if you have the rear spoiler on when you bought the car, they will need to take out the back seats and remove the raised rear third light to get into that blocked off area. If your car didn't come with the rear spoiler then there is no need.

 

which part of CA are u in? nor Cal or So CA??? i know in NORCAL... there are many good places to tint.. and use name brands.. like HuperOptik... some.. Sungard.. or solar gard.... google it up.... and the tail light tints.. please go on the overlay.. don't paint... if you paint.... and get caught... you'll have to find a new set...

 

7 windows we have that many? i count 6. and if you count the blind spot than that is 8. where are you getting 7 windows lol

 

Im guessing one on front driver, one on front passenger, two (including mini window) on rear driver, two (including mini window) on rear passenger, and then the rear window.

you mean tinting up to the AS1 line of the windshield?

 

the guy who tinted my car also tinted his front windshield, tho very very light.
