Hello,
In France there are a lot of Diesel motor, and my IS drive with diesel motors, with 177Ch and 400NM of couple this is a 2.2 liters motors.
Use in road 6.7 l/100km
In France a LEXUS IS is not very important car there are a lot of BMW, Mercedes and Audi because it's very expensive a LEXUS my LEXUS IS 220d is at 42000 Euros!!!!!!!!!!!

Diesels have changed a lot over the last ten or so years. Most are now common rail injected which has reduced the noise levels immensley. I would say that the new diesels are no noiser than our IS's with the direct injection.
