so i sent my lexon roof spoiler (authentic lexon. got papers and everything) to M1 autobody to get it painted. sent it in last friday, told me it should be ready by wednesday or today. but i got a call this morning saying they had difficulties with it. i was like what?? they said it SPLIT and asked me if i wanted to come down and see it. so i did. and here is a picture.
sorry its a bad pic. i took it with iphone for quick reference. i had another camera but that didnt come out so well either.

its not exact but its almost like that.

here's their story...
they had it up on a stand as they sanded it down and smoothed it out. as they were about to paint it, they saw a crack. so when they removed it from the stand, the spoiler went *PPKKK* and split.

wth kind of stand were they using?? anyway, as soon as i finish this, im gonna send lexon a email with photo seeing if they can send me the new one. if i cant get a new one from lexon, M1 autobody will try and fix it. not 100% gaurantee but at least 90-95% that it wont crack again.

i need your help people. what do i do??

Did you notice this split or any other damage when you dropped it off at the body shop? The split looks pretty wide, I'm sure you would have noticed it if you looked... I don't know. Did M1 have anything else to say?

I'm with isuxel, you should really contact whoever you purchased it from. Good luck though.

While i was washing my car, i noticed that there is a seam on my Lexon spoiler as well. I'll investigate and let you guys know.

the spoiler was clean and perfect. no damage whatsoever. even raymond at M1 saw it and we both inspected and there was no damage.
i asked if there's anything he can do; fix it, get a new one, replace it?? he said, you can ask lexon to see if they will send me a new one, if not, he can try to fix it. thats all.

i'll contact him asap. kinda busy with school stuff. luckily i had time today to go to M1 and check it out. but when i have time.

as far as pics, i have a few but dont have a program that converts NEF files to JPG. but i will post them as soon as i can.

read this thread before. but unfortunately, he and i are the only ones. HAHAHA no one else who has a lexon has had such a big crack. even the replica ones are better. LOL. hopefully things will work out well

did it crack after they heated up the spoiler to cure the paint? definitely sounds like it was defective...

Wow, that sucks. Who did you purchase it from? I would contact them as well to let them know what happened and see if they will do anything bout it. I just ordered one for my F and from the looks, I should have done some research before

Sucks that this happened, and it makes it even harder that it isn't a US company.

I would suggest a better picture to show the damage. Its about impossible to see what is going on in that pic with it being completely out of focus and the highlights being
blown out. Nice pic of the leather couch though.

haha I had a good laugh from that comment.

But that sucks about your spoiler. Though out of focus, you can still see what he's talking about, and for that kind of coin, I'd expect better quality
