Mine was built in Tahara. No Special Order and I picked it up in Sept 07.

go under your profile and add your vin #. Then go to my lexus page and next to Preferred Vehicle: it will say 2006 LEXUS IS250 Service Campaign Available click on the service campaign available and that will tell you if you have a recall. If no link no worries.

What's the standard number of shop hours on the recall work? Looks like they might hold my IS350 through the weekend to do the work.

I went to the dealership yesterday for some squeaking brakes and something squeaking in the back, They tell me that i need the new fuel line (covered under warranty) and they figured out that the squeaking in the back was a broken weld from the exhaust, so they replaced it. The brakes on the other hand they said it would cost 360 to do it, I said no ahaha, way cheaper to buy your own brakes and have another shop do it, 65 to re-surface the rotors and replace the brakes when i bring my own pads..

O and they loaned me a es350

Just got off the phone with "Simon" at Lexus Canada HO. He claimed he had no idea of what i was talking about, had never heard of the recalls etc. (Actually he was a condescending pr*ck) Fed me some corporate BS that cars for different countries don't use the same components. I highly doubt Toyota would source out different fuel rails, caliper pins and pwr steering assemblies for the Canadian market. I mean seriously, what big difference is there in climate if you live in say Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Minneapolis etc, from Toronto or Montreal?? Are Lexus' that are sent to Phoenix built differently from those sent to Maine?

Once again, the Cdn consumer gets shafted. I get tired of reading of all the recalls in the US that just simply get ignored up here. BTW, I already paid my stealer to fix my rear caliper on the drivers' side...

Dropped mine off this morning. They just called me stating that they're gonna need to hold it for this weekend to do the work. The Service Advisor stated something about the technician not knowing what to do....haven't done it before....more complicated than what he expected....etc etc.

Kinda got me scurred now.

I talked w/ the dealer, turns out my car was made in 11/07 so the late models in 2007 wont have the recall issues, tho they are listed as being 08s. Service guy I spoke with said they are jammed up with the Recall issue, asked me where I heard it from I told him clublexus, he started laughin lol.

Just dropped off my car for the fuel line recall, dash rattle (which I had to do a road test for) and oil change (might as well do it there since I was there) and rotate tires. They gave me a Hybrid RX....MAN that thing is sooo quiet!
Anyways...I still hate my stealership...Pohanka in Chantilly.

bye
