I got all three of the recalls (fuel lines, brake boot, power steering) taken care of last week. Took car in around 8:00AM and it was done shortly after lunch. I got an ES350 for a loaner so I was happy. Got a free fill-up (they said for the inconvenience more than anything). It definitely wiped out my settings (turned on the speedo warning thing, took out my seat position memory settings, etc.). Yes, you have to go to a dealer (can be Toyota or Lexus as far as I know) to get the warranty/recall work done. Overall not too big of a deal. Got my oil changed and fixed my trunk trim (busted fasteners covered under warranty, nice). Free car wash was nice too.

Told the dealership all this when I brought it in for the campaigns, and all they did was grease the brake pin and calipers...
Should find out on Wednesday if it fixed it or not

Lexus of Austin did all 3 of the fixes mentioned in the letters, and also fixed my '06 IS350 occassional grinding noise at cold startup. Took it in Tues evening, and they did all the work on Wed. I picked it up on Thurs morning. The loaner was an '08 IS250 (no power, glad I have a 350). The service experience couldn't have been nicer.
Some report a stiffer steering after the electronic steering fix. I don't know if mine is stiffer, but I know it's stiffer than the 08 250 was.

Just got all 3 done at the dealer. Took less than day. I made sure I rolled in with a 1/4 tank of gas. They filled it up Steering feels a little heavier. Haven't noticed anything else.

What the hell Lexus?!?!
So, I got the letter about the fuel rail recall mid last week. That sucks, but hey, I've just starting hearing the timing chain/cam gear rattle at start up and it's about time for an oil change, so it all works out.
I call the Lexus dealership today and the lady tells me the fuel rails are on national back order and she doesn't know how long it will be before they come in! What the hell is up with setting up and planning, or lack there of, of a recall on three years worth of models and not have enough parts in stock to service the customer!
Has anyone else run into this or is my dealership just screwing around???

My dealer left a voicemail encouraging me to make an appointment to have the recall work performed, so apparently they either have the parts in stock or have no problems getting them.
