i know gas is quite a bit cheaper these days, but sometimes i wonder what type of gas they fill it with

Since I only put TopTier gas in my cars and of course 91 octane for the IS350 I ask the service manager. He said "Of course we put 91, why would we do anything other then what Lexus recommends. On top of it the bill is sent to Lexus anyway so no point putting cheaper gas."

I just got my recalls done. The steering feels stiffer and heavier now.. which is a good thing, but at the same time I feel more vibration in the steering wheel and maybe gas petal as well. Is this normal with the change or do you think they threw off my alignment or something?

EXPERIENCE:
Just got back from dealership with my car, and It was a very pleasant experience overall. Got an RX350 as a loaner (which makes me appreciate my car more) and they hand washed/vacuumed, dressed the tires, and it even smells new again
All in all it took 6 hours from the time I dropped the car off to when I picked it up.

Also didn't get any crap for having it on lowering springs and spacers, just complements

I do have one question though...
On the Receipt where it details the replacement of the Power steering link, it says "PWR STEERING LINK ASSEM/INCL ALN"

Does the INCL ALN part stand for Including Alignment?

Reason I ask is because I still have yet to allign the car since I lowered it on the S-Techs, and I was planning on getting it aligned in a couple weeks & I'd love to save another $45...

Any info would be great!

THANKS!

Could someone explain what is wrong with the IS250 steering, what is being replaced in the recall? The whole steering column is replaced, or just some computer stuff?

no no no... NEVER EVER let them wash your car... whenever you take your car in you print a sign and tape it somewhere 'DO NOT WASH/DO NOT CLEAN'... how do you know they 'hand washed' unless you sat there the whole time and watched them, i've seen guys at the stealership using freaking brush type BROOMS on the roof of cars... trust no-one. Next time your at a SHOWROOM, look closely at the dark cars, those swirls you see came from the boyz in the back.

we say this all the time and we will continue to say it.

Mine went in this morning for the fuel line recall. They said it should be ready this afternoon for pickup. RX loaner for the day.

I had the dealer look up by the VIN there was only fuel rail recall on my car
(07 IS250), which was the only recall letter I received.

Had nothing about rear brake pins or steering replacement.

I finished the recall. They didn't fill up the gas nor the battery was disconnected because my clock and radio were the same as before.

Receipt did say replaced as per Lexus campaign but maybe they inspected it and it didn't need replacing?
