Is it a slim ballast with ignitor or full sized with built in ignitor?

Do a search on the forums

i dont have HIDs yet but what ive seen people do is either cable tie it to something sturdy or use industrial double sided tape and stick it somewhere

I stuck my ballasts for the foglights behind the reinforcement bar on the sides. I velco'd + ziptied them so they aren't going anywhere! Some ballast have long wires so you might be able to put them there also and route it up to the headlights for a clean and out of sight installation.

my HID's are slim and came with some 3M tape on the back of it and on the right side i stuck it to part of the air box. For the left side i stuck it to the frame hasn't moved yet.

Thats NOT good my friend. Your going to end up ruining your headlight. Your supposed to drill a hold in the cover. I believe 5/8's just big enough to run your wires through there. I tried my best sealing it when electrical tape as well to make sure no water would be able to get in them.

I used a one inch drill bit on the back cover and wired it through with a rubber grommet. Didn't seal with electrical tape, and has held up through all kinds of conditions without a hitch

I have the slim ballast kit from XD and I mounted my ballasts near the shock towers.

I have another kit with the all-in-one, thicker ballast that I'm going to use for my fogs. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mount them with having to remove the front bumper.

If you bought a quality kit, the grommet should come with it

Otherwise, should be able to find it at home depot

Does anyone use any material to wrap up the ballasts, or leave it bare?
