HID Fogs and HID head lights would be nice... i'm doing 8k Headlights and 6k fogs cos it's dark here in IN and i need the extra light so i use 6k for the fogs... they are all HID.... mayb trying to retrofit projectors into the foglights sometime next year... will update if i really do... so yeah.... they are legal.... i guess.. you can go up to all 8ks to be legal..

Technically, to be legal, you can't install an hid kit PERIOD, or even do a full fledged retrofit. You can only have it come that way from the factory. There is no 6k or 8k upper limit, period. It's just illegal. People say 6k or 8k, because the higher in kelvin temperature you go, the less likely it looks stock and the more attention you'll probably get from cops because there is more glare.
So if we're talking about legal on a non-hid equipped 2is, we're talking about sylvania ultrastars and other halogen bulbs for both housings

rules might be different from state to state. the higher you go in temperature the less output there is. the best thing to do is to replace the fogs with hids. also, i would suggest replacing the high beams with a high output halogen bulb, like the silverstar ultras. that way you will have functioning highbeams and you will have brighter lows with the hid fog upgrade. also, if you can convince your dealer to do it for you, have them, turn the DRL's off.
