Wait isnt that amount of watts require HO alternator? overtime it will stress your electrical (someome correct me if im wrong)

The other parts ARE necessary... regardless if you have a high output or not. I upgraded the ground with 0 gauge and it made no difference. I had a hard time trying to do one to the alternator so I didnt do it and I couldn't find a bolt on the engine to do that one either.

I ran a 1/0 without issue, my lights don't dim so I'm sayin my charging system is ok. I am running 2 class d alpine pdx's and only one class a/b jl 300/2. The class d amps run cold, and supposedly use less power than a class a/b amp. (more efficient). I'd suggest using class d amps where possible, jl just introduced a whole line of 'em.

Im not saying a system with 0 guage will have issues now it doesnt, later it will take most out of your stock alt and thus damging the electrical and such... so which is why HO alt is an ideal when doing big sound system set up
