unless there's gonna be an awd is350 (i need awd for winter here in Toronto, unless i get a beater), next car will be either 335xi, G37x, or the S4!!
get the S4 That V8 is nice and you can get it in a 6spd manny I miss the car

RWD + Snow tires is fine also, you dont have to get AWD ya know! If they had the S4 or RS4 in RWD I would have still gotten the car.

STR8 up the Infiniti is a POS...sorry but true....scan the forums and talk to the owners with some real time with the car and not the ones so inlove they cant see the G is crap-been there done that

S4 for the V8 you'll have to get an 08 or less...in 2009 your S4 will be a superchagred v6 with 333hp. the audi is a better build or the BMW for that matter...
Lexus will out last them both as far as issues are concerned...just better built all around...its true, but with the bimmer for 4 years they do EVERYTHING 4 U ...all you have to do is pay gas and insurance.

They are pretty accurate, specially if you calibrate them right before the run.
I have been to the track with this 3 times and out of about 15 runs or more and most of the time its been within .1 of a second. My best run was in the IS this summer I did 13.6 and the vector said I did 13.7.
Sometimes it says you did more than what you actually did. And im sure there is some kind of error. Id say about .15 seconds. Ive tried it on a G35, C55 amg, BMW 5series. and it has been right around the claimed times by manufacturers. butmost importantly its been dead on with the track's clocks (2 different tracks)
G35 low 5 sec, C55 AMG high 4 sec, BMW 525 high 6 seconds.

I think it might be behind the track numbes by .1 second because it starts once the car moves, te track sensors for the 1/4 mile start about 10 inches from were you actually started moving.

The vector actually lets you choose if you wantto have rolling sistance such as a track. I just leave it default

Thanks man. Where have you been? I havent seen you in a while.

Yes this run was done with te new wheels and tirew which are 275. I get better grip than stock. It was also done in Perfect conditions.
I know about the 3/4 tank. I didnt even notice until I saw it on the video, hehe
the stock tires and wheels, on my scale were around 56 pounds (the rear)
these tires are about 28 pounds plus the 25 pounds from the wheels. So Id say these are around 3-4 pounds lighter than the stock set up (on each tire)
maybe that helps a little bit. But id say the biggest difference is the grip.

Sweet run dude,
I can feel a difference on my IS250 with the cold weather, it picks up quite fast and feels more responsive, I love cold weather!

That's what I got also. 4.9 seconds on a stock IS-350. I used to use the G-Tech and I also had another one using the G-forces. Now, I have a VBOX. Been sitting around for a month and haven't had a chance to play with it yet. If I recall, in 1st gear, the IS350 would pull like .6-.7 gs and about .4-.5 gs in second gear. My IS-F pulls the same in first gear (traction limited) and about .6gs in second gear so my second gear pull on my IS-F is almost as hard as the first gear pull on my IS350. I also did some tests at the strip vs. g-meters and they were accurate to .1 second.

HOLLY CRAP. the ISF pulls .6 on second gear??? WOW. lol

thats true my IS350 pulls .60 to.64 in first gear depending on the weater. and insecond gear it pulls .41 to .44 G's.
I cant get over the fact that the ISF pulls .6 in second gear.

Default Still not sure what the deal is with the ECT power mode

Today it got hot here. it was 82 at one point on the road. So idecided to see what the car would to from 0-60 at this weather. here are the results with the car just on DRIVE, traction control off, and Normal more (no ECT power)

run1: 5.10
run2: 5.17
run3: 5.00

then I decided to trn on te ECT POWER mode and Put the car in SPORT-manual and I got (On the exact same road and place, going the same direction) launched the same way as all oter runs.

run1: 4.87
run2: 4.90

the car DEFINITELY shifted faster..
So, does te ECT make the car faste from a stop? does this mean that Sport mode is better? or maybe my car is used to being driven agressively only when its on the ECT and Sport mode?

I am confused now, Ive heard the best 1/4 mile times on CL are with the car on D.

It's always been Auto mode which shifts faster and at the right shift point.

As for switching ECT to Power or Normal, I'm still kind of debating myself which makes the car go faster. Looks like I'll have to get me a g-meter and start doing some testing.
I didnt use the paddles. I just shifted ahead to 4th. I will be doing more of these before gas gets up to 4 bucks.
I gfeel like high RPM ect mode is the same as having it off. but from 0t about 20, te ECT power seems to help the car get up from 3ooo to 5000 RPM faster.
