0-60 in 4.6 seconds

Hey, do you think the black roof will make my car faster?

Actually..... as long as the car is in good condition these 0-60 numbers can be had if you know what you guys are doing. Even car mags (Road&Track and Car&Driver) both got 4.9 sec out of IS350's and they were tested in the summer when it was hot. These cars were not broken-in either. What Juice14 is representing, is very possible, and showing us what our IS350 cars can do. Keep in mind his was done in a good weather and it has gone through a break-in period. Check his mileage it's at 52xx miles. I have seen some IS350 owners that they seemed to get even better results (compare to their previous runs when theirs were new) after about 10,000 miles.
There is another guy (Mod) IS-F-Hope at My.is forum and he got 13.2x sec quarter mile in his stock IS350. I would imagine his 0-60 run at the time would've been spectacular also.

I agree.
See, I am not sure if cooler weather would be better time because then that might mean the street is colder as well. sometimes i get excited when it gets down to the 30's and try 0-60 and cant get any grip. but once the car does grip is much faster.
so i think I went at the perfect time since the sun was hitting the pavement for a couple of hours and it wasnt too cold, or too hot. also it seemed to be a very dry day, no humidity which helps a ton too.
Another factor that might have helped was the wind. maybe i had some tail wind.

Hey, quick question I thought may pertain to this thread.. Has anyone had a chance to time or run an 09' IS350? I am coming up with no answers as to why the factory 0-60 time stated is different this year, its 5.6 instead of 5.3, like 06-08 were. I wonder if the 09' is actually slower? Maybe added weight? Or maybe they tested it in the hot summer this time?? lol Weird!

DS to 4th & Pwr mode and then turn Pwr mode down once the car reaches 35mph?
so..basically you only use Pwr mode upto 35mph and turn it off...

Lol Ive thought about it hehe. the other day on SUper hot weather i tried 2 runs one with PWR the other one in D. i got 5.3 with pwr and 5.0 in normal.

Where can I find Quarter mile times?? I am going to the track next week to race a friend of mine with a 08 335i. We have raced before on street but its always too close to call... or i lose traction
He said his last track best was 13.61 can I beat this??

in cold weather you can get as low as 13.2xx to 13.6xx bone stock on the IS 350.
Someone has even broke into the high 12s with just exhaust/intake (doesn't add much HP so it's somewhat telling perhaps?)
If you're not great at launching don't be surprised to get high 13s, though. Launching really is somewhat of an art, and there's a bit of luck involved (mainly when it comes to traction).
Take your spare out and try to run on 1/4 tank gas to help, that's about all I can say.
But...but, all of this is sort of irrelevant because the '08 335i is capable of faster than 13.6xx. It's very possible that he'll get 13.3xx and you'll run a 13.7xx, and thus you'll lose that bout. The opposite is also possible and has certainly been recorded online. You'll find videos of 335is beating IS 350s, and IS 350s beating 335is on the track.
Maybe if he's driving manual, his run times will be more prone to driver error. There is certainly a consistency advantage in having an automatic transmission.
