C&D posed an interesting question about the 135 in their feature:
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...w_135i_feature
Although lagging in practicality, the 135i raises an intriguing question for those seeking solely performance: Why buy an M3 for bushels more money when the 135i delivers 90 percent of its capability for only 60 percent of the cost? This cost-value calculation will certainly be evident to the not-inconsiderable number of BMW enthusiasts who enhance their vehicles with performance modifications and know that several thousand dollars in parts can turn the speed tables on the big-brother, big-dollar M3.

So it actually costs like 80 bucks but in the end you really spend way more than that.
