hmmmm i wonder who has a black crome grill also
nice job... post pics a few weeks/ months later to see if it chips... i've had my grill down at a car shop and it's been on for almost a year now no chips, faddings etc. etc.
also nice job, i'm tihnking about doing my rear emblems too

Wow looks good. Did you use floss to take off the emblems? How do you reapply the emblems? You have to use some sort of tape or glue?
I might actually consider making the grill bezel flat black. I would be using Plasti-Dip.

im sure even with 7 coats of clear coat its gonna chip. HAHAH i only did this as a temp. when i get some more $$$ im gonna get it done professionaly.
i used a thick plastic wire. i want to say it was a fishing line but it was a little too thick for it. but yea, fishing lines work perfect. you can use floss too. just heat up the emblems for a minute or two with a hair dryer and you can use any type of string to take it off. the "L" is kinda hard to do. i just left it. maybe after midterms i'll take it off and paint it. and to reapply, i just used 3M heavy duty indoor/outdoor mounting tape. gray tape with red. you can use silicone if you want but its gonna be even harder to take off.
