Default 18x9s in front fit?

Yes I searched, found a zillion threads on 19s, plenty of 18x8s in the front, not so much on this though-

Would 18x9 with a +38 offset front (and rear) fit with no rubbing or other issues on an IS350, sport suspension, -no- aftermarket drop and no plans for any?

Thanks!

And as a followup BTW- if the wheels fit, would I be ok moving the stock staggered 18" tires onto these rims? I've only got like 8k miles on em so if I can avoid dropping an extra 1k on tires for a year I wouldn't mind.... and hey, as a followup to -that- question, when it does come time to buy, what sizes would folks suggest? (ideally avoiding 35 series tires)

That setup will work fine.

Since the tire is a 9 up front. I think you can get away with a 245/35 or go straight up 235 /40 and you should have plenty of meat up front..
I personally saw a 9 up front with 245 tires, so I know it will work, however I need to confirm if it was a 40 series or 35.

OK: confirmed 35 series...

I think you would be better off going 235 / 40.

In the rear you can use your 255, it will be a tad bit stretched but you won't have any rubbing issues.

Thanks for the info.... if 245/35-18s fit then the stock 225/40-18s should fit fine as far as clearance... they'll be stretched on a 9" rim but still in the range for that size (albeit at the top end of the scale)... and that way I can wait at least a year before dropping another $1200 on some PS2s... it'll be another year stuck on Turanzas but I can't see tossing perfectly good treaded tires if I don't have to.
