Default New 2009 or 8.1 Navigation DVD

Upgraded from version 5.1 to 8.1.

It's minor, but is nice to have the "i agree" confirmation go away. Haven't tried every option, but didn't notice any other significant changes. My neighborhood and surrounding area is new, so decided to upgrade.

Not sure if any need, but will post 5.1 DVD for sale in "for sale" sub-forum.

Did you have to recalibrate your nav settings or anything?

So the upgraded DVD gets rid of the "I agree" window? That might be worth looking into!

Last years did too, and that carries over to 09

you don't have to recalibrate anything, just take the old dvd out and stick the new one it, let it load, that's it

yes, i agree was gone since 7.1 last year

all above is correct: "i agree" went away with 7.1. No need to recalibrate. All custom settings/locations remain.

There are different DVD part numbers for different vehicles. I'm sure it contains the same data, but different models have different versions of navigation (ex. firmware).

Besides the LS, I believe all '07-'09 models all the same disc, PT219-GEN05-08. That is used for all Gen 5 navigation models.

I have an '07 (which I guess is version 6.1) with ML and a Vaistech SLI unit... would there be any kind of compatibility issues with this new Nav software?
