Default Cleaning Exhaust

What do you guys do to clean your exhaust tips? St. Louis got half a foot of snow and there has been salt littering the roads for a couple of days. And I don't really clean my tips often anyways. Any tips and suggestions would be great, but nothing that's going to cost too much.

Meguiars makes a nice metal polish that comes in a stubby can with a twist off top. That stuff works great! Just be sure to clean the tips w/ some water and dry it off really well with a rag THEN apply the polish. Here's the link to the product, http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...p?T1=MEG+M2805

or this one too, I prefer it more cause honestly it smells better,

The best way to clean your tips is to simply clean them more often. Letting it go and then having road salt and spray stick to them while they are hot is a bad recipe. This is how the staining starts becoming permanant. Everytime you clean your car, take two seconds to wipe down the tips with a damp rag. Then cleaning off road salt will be quick and easy. I have always felt, nothing says "new car" better than clean tips.

I give my tips a Blue Job every time I wash my car. This stuff is incredible at getting stains and burnt on grime off my tips. It's actually a powder that you mix with a damp cloth to activate and rub on.

I use this:

They are fantastic!

Incidentally, how many of you actually clean the entire (or majority of) exhaust pipe system? is it too crazy to do that? I gave up and just clean the tips.
