remember weight differences, also, the tires are a big deal too, its not just the wheels, the tires are even more important because they are further away from the center of the wheel, so they are harder to move.
also:
did he have his windows open?
how much do you weigh and how much does he weigh?
did he have passenger?
did you have the spare tire and jack on the trunk, did he?

these should explain you questions

so if he had a passenger, windows open, ehavier tires, jack and spare in the trunk. then thats why you beated him.

+1... i so agree with juice. Everything you do and have in the car makes a big difference during a run. Consider this, if one of your car is stripe nake, guess whose going to have the advantage. You gotta think of it that way.. Just 50 cents comment.. lolzz.. Yes please post some pics

Oh wait I forgot a big one:
Amount of fuel in the tank. a full tank weighs about 100 pounds (assumign your car has 18 galons)
and a nearly empty tank could weigh 6 pounds or less.

i walked on a stock to stock is250 that had 10 miles on it. lol litereally walked away. only cause that new car didn't have its break in period yet lol

soo it could be that

1. he sucks at shifting
2. when the ecu was learning the drivers driving style maybe he drove slow and didn't push his car hard.
3. weight difference

wooooooooow

that's some investigation... looool

I already gave details that I know guys, so stop shooting some strange questions like i'm going to real race!

Well he is better than me in racing cause he have beaten many cars as I heard and saw from his driving...

You can go fast with the manual sport mode guys than the automatic... Floor it fully by stepping on the gas and once you hear the car vrooooming shift to 2nd and let the 3rd gear reaches 6rpm and you will feel the different if you...

If you are saying I'm afraid to do that with my car.. just don't try it.

I'll post pics of his car, but I don't like his wheels..

You are right. On a roll downshifting gives you way more power than just flooring it on automatic. But I think most people here are referring from a stop. 0-100 the best time is when you put it on automatic. But when you are racing on a roll you need to downshift or put it to S mode.

Well My friend has a full exhaust just like the JoeZ also designed by Action Car Garage.. He removed the second cats and he has a Y or X type pipes.

No, it's slower.

Normal mode shifts at a higher rpm than power mode when the car is floored.

As I said, Gernby has proven this with datalogging and posted the results here previously.
