oh man... i let it rip ALL the time! SBD(silent but deadly) LAD (loud and deadly)... sometimes i just sitting and let one rip and sometimes i tilt to the left and let one rip and sometimes when my friends are in the car on a cold *** winter day i lock the windows, turn up the heaters to max and seat heaters and let a SBD out and blame on someone else and enjoy them busting a titanic window scene =) =) and honestly speaking kimchi and beef smell will kill... trust me

shoot i fart in my car all the time with my friends around and i lock the windows after and fan it towards them.
but wtf do you guys eat to damage your leather?! lay off the carne asada fries once in a while.

So I was driving one day and remembered this thread because I needed to fart. I couldn't hold it, so i had to let it rip....nope...no damages to my car...but I think my gf nearly passed out.
So no...it does not damage the leather, but potential threat to the passengers. just a warning

see when i fart i like to share the love. approximately 5 sec before i let it rip i turn on the Ball Coolers (the cool settting on the seats, yes my friends and i call them ball coolers because they cool our "genitalia" during the summer. and no we dont cruise around naked ) ahem.... i turn it on before i fart, then i let it rip. On setting 3 of course. 
then i let the cabin fill with my love gas and put window lock on.
