Arrow Does the Lexus parts has a factory MSRP price?

For some dealerships that have an online parts order webpage, like Parkplace, Carson etc, I see each parts has a MSRP price listed there. Of course on their website they offer a discount price.

But today when I went to my local dealership and ask for a part's quote, they gave me a price that is nearly 12% more expensive than the listed MSRP mentioned above. I said other place even not sell parts at MSRP, why are your guys ask for a price that is 12% over MSRP. They answered: then you can go and buy the parts at other places.

I also find that dealership always sell parts at approx. 112% of the listed MSRP. So does dealerships have their rights to sell parts at any prices they want?

That's so they can give you a "discount" and you think you got a deal, but they got list (MSRP) price. Toyota dealers here in Indy also all have their own "list" prices and discount from that. Bottom line, buy from whoever gives you the best price - doesn't mtter how they calculate it. Also, some dealers have lower internet prices than walk-in prices for the same part.

Oh, and if you have the actual part number, try a Toyota dealer first. Mechanical parts such as clips, springs, bolts, etc. are far cheaper from Toyota than Lexus - same part number, better price.
