Default Getting ready to make the jump to an '09 IS X50

What types of questions should I ask them in terms of warranty/recalls? I have read a lot about excessive brake dust issues (not sure if it pertains to the '09 model or not), and other minor ones. It will be my wife's car so I want to make sure she is happy with the overall vehicle. I am sure I will be happy with the car since I somewhat steered her towards this model.

The brake dust TSB is the only one that I know of that applies to the '09s.

Other TSB's:
-Engine knock at cold startup
-Aux input interference
-Dash rattle

Those are a few of the problems that have cropped up for previous model years, but I'm not sure how they apply to '09s. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge on the subject can chime in here.

Grats on the impending purchase.

Should I ask if these issues have been looked at on the vehicle or am I supposed to drive off the lot and bring it in when I experience them?

AFAIK -none- of the recalls or TSIBs apply to the 09s. Mostly.

The brake pads were replaced with the low-dust ones as standard a couple of months into 09 production, so the earliest 09s had the high-dust pads but any made since do not (though the TSIB was not updated to include those early 09s yet)... that'd be the only "exception" I can think of.

The brake pads are the only one I've had on my 08 as well, though supposedly a limited number of 08s had others.

(personally I find the brake pad TSIB to be a -good- problem, since the original pads "work" fine they're just dusty, and this way you get a free pad change down the line)
