On recommendations from others on this forum, I went to:
Troy Dietrich
TDietrich@factorydiscountwarranty.com
$1,650 for the 7/100 warranty. Fast, painless, profession, legit Lexus Platinum warranty.

About a year ago when I checked Toby (the guy I posted the info for) was about $50-100 cheaper than Troy. Dunno if that's still the case. For both I just emailed with what my car was, and what warranty I wanted, and got back their low price.
(it's the same warranties available from either).
And the Platinum warranty is the highest one they offer- you can see the details here:
http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/warra...rotection.html
Ignore the MSRPs there, both Troy and Toby will be massively cheaper.

Also, be aware that the later you wait, the more your warranty is likely to cost. Yeah, Lexus is reliable, but as a car ages, things naturally deteriorate, and they assume the likelihood of this in warranty costs.

ok, so get a new warranty, do i still need to go to lexus for service? i've been going to toyota, and exact motors instead of lexus, i can still do that and just buy a extended warranty right.... i called lexus and they said 45k service was 500+ .... thats a bit much to me, i'm sure exact and do the same for 1/4 the price...

I'd also skip the warranty. Lexus has consistantly rated on top the scale at Consumer Reports.

Also, the value of a warranty is really in how easily something is handled when things do go wrong! For example, whether you paid a lot or less for a warranty will be justified when you take the car in to have it repaired. If you end up constantly fighting the dealership to fix things...it is not worth having the extra expense.
Heck, I have seen some people post on this forum that have had a hard time having their original factory warranty applied for things like, dust from brakes, engine noise at startup etc.
...my friend's IS350 armrest thing was stuck and could not be opened. The dealership replaced it under warranty...the cost to him would have been $1000.00...
I too will qualify this with 'it's just my opinion'...
