Default Close Up's-Tungsten Pearl-The Other Gray

First off, I have babied my paint job since I took ownership almost 2 years ago, handwashed once a week and use Zaino products weekly, 2 of their products I could not live without is the Z6 (I use after every washing and Z-CS Clear Seal every 9 months.

Tungsten Pearl is hard to capture in a photo, in bright sunlight it's really lightest gray, in the shade it captures a slightly darker light gray. Some may comment that it is too flat or doesn't have enough layers or depth.

I wanted to capture some pics that showed the beauty of the pearl in "Tungsten Pearl" Some of these were in direct bright sunlight and some were in the shade, I think they capture the pearl and the flecks that are present and reason why I chose this color.

Nice, I personally didn't like the silver because i thought it was flat. Which I was wrong. The obsidian is dull and flat in direct sunlight.
Thanks for the nice shots.

Looks real nice... I have to say originally I had wanted my IS in black, but when I saw the silver it looked really good. There's lots of silver cars in my parking lot at work but when I look out the window and see mine it really seems to stand out to me, the pearl makes it really shine and the nuances of the color are mesmerizing.

As you can see by my sig, we have both tungsten pearl and mercury metallic in our family. To my eye, both colors look the same. And I really like them. It's sort of cool to have two Lexus in the family that appear to be the came color. I agree with the OP.

anyone agree the touch up paint that lexus gives for TP is a horrible match. I used mine and it looks nothing like the rest of my car. It stands out a LOT.

Nice enough.

But I think this is what most people see as conventional silver, very common. I think my ES350 loaner car that I had for a week was this color.

Do yourself a favor. If that car is pretty new; Have some place put on a clear film behind the door handle. After a year and a half I can really notice what fingernails have done.
The only complaint i have with my car is that i have so darned many rock chips on the front bumper and front of hood. I'll soon break down and have them repainted and have a clear-bra put on. I'd say thats a worthy investment at the very beginning.

The best part of the TP color imo would be the nice shine. The paint seems so flawless that it shines in any weather.

And In the sun, the car looks white
