Default Need help removing Shark fin

tomorrow i need to take my antenna off because im painting my roof.
Ive searched, asked, PMd and there are no DIy or any specific way of doint it.
I thougt if i would take the Rear DOME LIGHT assembly i could get to the antenna, but i couldnt even find that either.
help please!!!

You have to remove the headliner to get to it.

the whole thing? can i just take the dome light assembly out and slide a wrench in there?

why not just paint around the fin? easier step.

^^Easier...yes. But you might get paint cracking in the long run due to stress or they might just do a shtty job.

thats what i thought but the guy said it might not look perfect. I WANT IT PERFECT!!! LOL

You just need to pull the headliner, but how do you pull it down!?

i have a "friend" that picked his car up yesterday from the shop that painted his roof black... ill try and get pics of "his" ride

Yeah, I would just do the vinyl overlay so that you take it off if you want to go back to stock. I bought overly from bluebatmobile for my G35 and had no complaints about it.

do that. tell him if he does a DIY for how to remove the shark fin I will pay him 10 bucks. LOL

Thats pretty cool. I am sure it would look good. but i dont have any CF on the car so it might look weird.
