Default VSC off switch for 06 IS350.

Hi guys,

We have a friend with a 06 IS350 that does not want to do brake dance everytime the car starts. Has anybody find a way to use toggle switch or retrofit the 07 switch into 06? I searched and saw one person on the myis forum was trying to release a switch kit back in the 06 but I don't see any follow ups. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a 07. You don't need to do the pedal dance if you are 07+. Just need to hold the trac button more than 5 sec in Park mode, and when you switch to drive, VSC and trac will be off... But the main problem is that the friend's car is 06, so there has to be a way to do a switch...

It's not the switch - it's the VSC ECU that needs to be swapped/retrofitted. Tell your friend to search junkyards for this part. Once he has an 07+ VSC ECU, the pedal dance will become a thing of the past.

Cool. Thanks. Is there specific things need to do to retro fitting the VSC ECU?

when i do the pedal dance i am able to lay down some rubber but if i take a corner and my rear end tries to break loose why does the car correct itself and not let itself break loose?

Remove old, insert new.

Because doing the pedal dance doesn't disable the rest of VDIM - it only disables TRAC/VSC. VDIM is responsible for EBFD (electronic brake force distribution) and BA (brake assist) and these basic ABS and proportioning functions cannot be turned off.
