I think the sensors on bumpers are ugly, or way to busy.
Helpful but I can live with out the parking assist.
I'd hafta agree. I didn't get that 'cause in my opinion it's HECKA ugly. I hate those little dots on the bumper. If I had a lot of money to burn I'd mold in the emblems, lip, side skirt, rear lip, badges, everything to the car.
What happened to the good old days where we could drive without cameras or sensors.
Reminds me of an old country-western song about "Those good old days when times were bad" or something close to those words.
I love the parking sensors/back-up camera and I don't ever want to go back. My Lexus is a FAR cry from my first car......a 1951 Chevrolet. Please don't make me go back.
What do you guys think about park assist? You think back up camera is enough or park assist may be helpful.?
You can park just fine without them even if you opt for the camera, but I've found any extra 'eyes' as helpful in everyday situations. They can be handy if your attention gets preoccupied, and you miss something below your viewing line, for example.
Also, I like them because there are times where I'm not the only one driving the car. When the car is in for service or being valet parked, at times, its less excuse for damaging the vehicle and can help avoid it.
Yeah, I figured. The dealer told me that only 250 AWD could be had w/ park assist & rearview cam unless you get the lux package, which I don't believe, but oh well. I miss that, rain sensing wipers, and seat memory from my parents' GS, but I also paid $20k less.
Rear view cam+parking assist = nice. I don't think I'll ever hit anything while parking again. Depends how confident you are with your car and if you give a .... about your bumpers and wheels.
I assume the side mirrors fold downward while in reverse in the lux package only? An option to consider if it comes with PA.
