Nice, thanks for the DIY! But just to confirm, if PWR is equivalent to the lowest mode on the controller, would that be ECO or SP1?

All this mod does is lie about how far you pushed the gas pedal.

You can get the same result, free, by pushing the gas pedal harder.

It is -nothing- like ECT-Power mode, which changes _transmission_ behavior, not throttle behavior.

Just look at the directions, and see -where- it connects.

It's sitting between your gas pedal and the rest of the drive by wire system.

So all it's doing is changing the "he pushed the pedal 20%" output from the pedal into "He pushed it 50%" to send upstream.

(or 70%, or 90% depending which setting you put it on)

Yeah, it doesn't make your car faster.. but how often do you race? This is for people who drive their car normally and want a quicker throttle response. Btw, PWR mode is on par with the lowest mode on the unit. I will put your imagination on the highest mode..
That was no assumption as I am correct on it changing nothing more than response. Honestly to drop $400 on something that changes RESPONSE TO ME isn't worth the money, but that's my belief and nothing else. Thanks for the clarification though

Exactly what I was thinking how this works. It just sits in series with the gas pedal and the throttle. It doesn't connect anywhere else. I guess it would give you a false sense that the car is faster because you are lying to the computer you're pressing the pedal further than you actually are. Each setting you put it at is just increasing the increment it lies to the computer. IE: Lowest Setting: You press the pedal 5%, it feeds 15%, Highest Setting: You press the pedal 5%, it feeds 30%. WOT probably comes sooner than it should and pressing the pedal down further probably doesn't do squat anymore.

Thanks for the writeup though, if you're happy with it, that's all it matters. It just may not be for everybody.

Thanks for the DIY write up Smokyis350!!!

For the skeptics out there, you should test drive the car with the system installed

and maybe from 250s if you can feel the difference

thanks for DIY
I like it a lot. It feels like your car is on PWR mode but way more aggressive. It will change the throttle response on your car for sure regardless if 250 or 350. Perfect for me who use my car for daily drive.

ECO in my opinion.

+1.. You guys seriously have to test drive the car with this. I am not trying to advertise but just trying to voice my opinion. It really does make my car feel monstrous on the low end. Perfect for me since I drive ~50 miles per day. I am not the only one who own this and I am sure many others who own this cannot be more happier..

It makes the car feel like you pressed the gas more than you did.

I don't need to drive his car to feel what pressing the gas more feels like, I can do that in my car. Free. By pressing the gas more.

If you're happy with it, great... but if you think it's doing anything other than lying about how far you pressed the gas pedal the only person you're fooling is you.

^^ Call it want you want boys....

The fact is that, the Throttle Lag is GONE.....

I was impressed when I test drove the ASPEC TOM's IS350 Marketing car..
&
... I was even more impressed when I test drove a 2008 LS460 with the same unit installed..

The stock LS460 has major lag compared to a stock IS350.

With the unit installed, there was a HUGE improvement in throttle response, which includes gas pedal "bite" for both cars.

Sort of the reverse psychology from changing out the High Friction Dusty Pads that "bite" as soon as you touch the brake pedal to then installing the low dust, less grabby brake pads..

Again, this is just my un-biased opinion, since I don't own one.

Correct. However, ECT Power mode does in fact sharpen throttle response as well.

No thank you. I find the throttle response too "twitchy" as it is in power mode. It was cool at first, but I got tired of it real quick. It's probably my age.
