IS250 Full Modification!?
Hello Fellow Lexus Lovers!
New here, and this is my first post/thread. I got my Lexus on August, and it's a lease, but thinking of potentially buying afterwards (but I really want an F).
I don't really know much about cars, but I do know that the Lexus IS250 has 204 horsepower, and 185 lbs of torque. I want my car to be fast. Real fast!
How fast can I get my car to be? What kind of modifications can you do to this car to the max to get maximum performance out of it.
Anyone who has done this to their car, or knows what parts to get to modify it, will be a lot of help.
Thanks.

welcome to CL
and I gotta say that you bought the wrong car if you want to be fast
you might as well save your money and upgrade to either IS350 or IS-F
or go for M3 or some other cars that can be modded to make it faster
you can do
Intake, Midpipe, Headers, Exhaust to add little performance
but that's about it
there is a supercharger, but it's not worth the money for what you gain
again, if you want speed, your best bet is to save up and get a different car

take the car to GMG Motorsports and see if they can crack the ECU. this may be only good for an extra 50hp or so.
on an easier note, you can lighten the car a lot. take out all the trunk lining, spare tire, in california you can drain the windshield wiper fluid. take out the a/c unit, that's good for about 70lbs, and remove the speakers. get some lighter wheels and replace the glass with lexan.
and if you think a F is gonna cost you $56K, you're not shopping at the right places.

If you think of buying afterwards..then get a 350. Very good inventory of very low mileage 350's out there and priced great. Then you wont break your wallet for an ISF. You will be amazed how much more power the 350 feels from the 250. You might just forget about the F....of course not that I would personaly..

you bought the wrong car if you want to go fast. get an IS300 and turbo it and it will come out to less than what the IS250 costs and it will be twice as fast...can possibly spank the ISF if you want it to.

honestly... if you want a FAST car... your shopping the wrong brand, look at a WRX STi or Evo or a Mustang... tons of HP adding aftermarket bolt-on's for those cars...

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to CL.
I would have to agree with what everyone has said. If you really wanted a "fast" car, you should have got a 350 instead of a 250. 204 hp is decent but of course can't compare to 300+.
If you really wanted a fast car, you should have purchased a Honda or a WRX, something that (i) you can easily tune, (ii) performance parts are abundant, and (iii) the prices won't break the bank. A Lexus is more on the luxury side than actual performance. Nonetheless, enjoy your new ride.
