Default Cleaning painted calipers

Anyone know how to clean painted calipers?
Brake dust seems to be impossible to remove off of the calipers, i tried cleaning them with soap and water, yet it doenst all come off, lots of spots stll have brake dust.

Will using diesel work? or would that strip away the paint and clear coat?
anyone have an recommendations? Im about to attached my lexus stickers on my calipers so i wanna clean the brakes to their painted redness before i do

you should clear coat the caliper after your rinse it well. i think p21 wheel gel works super well. go on www.autopia.org and look for their best wheel cleaner. it works wonders...
and you can also try using a 2000grit sandpaper, wetting it for 15 mins, and sanding off the brake dust? and then u can clear coat it after. and then put the caliper stickers on. that's my advice.

make sure you use a very high grit sandpaper and you wetsand. if you don't, you'll rip the paint right off.

Try Poorboys Spray & Rinse Wheel Cleaner.
I use it on my painted calipers when washing the car.
