2006 IS350 - Exhaust "bounce"
Hello,
I was following behind my 2006 IS350, driven by someone else, and noticed that the exhaust/mufflers were bouncing REALLY badly on even mildly bumpy roads (expansion joints on freeway.)
Was able to duplicate this "bounce" when the IS was parked just by "dribbling" the exhausts up and down like a basketball.
I noticed that the exhaust is held up by a total of 4 rubber exhaust hangars. 1 on each muffler, 2 on the "center exhaust pipe." Inquired with the dealer about new rubber exhaust hangars and to replace all 4 were $200 or so just in parts. Since the design is the same, and the issue will just come back even after replacing, decided not to purchase.
Does anyone have any fixes or recommendations on "stiffer" exhaust hangars for at 2006 IS350?
Thanks for anyone's input...

(assuming you haven't put aftermarket exhaust on your IS) I'd personally attempt to pursue under warranty or ask about some goodwill replacement.
Your OEM exhaust shouldn't be dropping loose after two years. I suspect the constant bouncing will eventually strain the remaining hangers and make the problem worse.
