Check Engine & VSC

Check Engine & VSC
Since I've seen several threads about this, why not make one that has the issue, what caused it, and how it was resolved. This would really help out for those who are concerned about what could have caused it.
Today while on my way to work I was waiting on a red light, when the light turned green I accelerated again and out of no where the Check Engine light and VSC turned on. The car struggled to accelerate, I heard the normal climb in the RPMS then it just dropped and slowed down. I know the VSC light comes on when you take a hard turn, it cuts power to the wheels, but trying to even accelerate normal felt like I was driving an 80hp car. I didn't know what to think since this was my first time experiencing anything like this, I drove to a safe stop got out of the car and made sure I didn't have a flat. It's crazy because the car felt so slow and it was shaking real bad, like I told t0e, it's like it caught a cold So I called the dealership and took my car in. They ran their diagnostics while I was in their lounge searching through CL for any past experience with an issue like this. Seems like some members have experienced the same issue but it's related to different things, MAF Sensor, ignition coils, transmission failure, the engine running rich and needing a reflash and oil change, and even gas cap leak I believe. Well mine turned out to be "Lost communication with steering angle sensor module" They fixed my sensor and my car is working good again, they even reset my ECU so I felt more power lol. So I drove it like I stole it off the lot.
Thanks to Freddy over at Keyes Lexus for all the help and info.

I had those lights come on a few weeks ago. I pulled right over, turned the engine off/on and they went away - car runs fine. It's been weeks and they haven't come back on. I just thought it was a fluke and never had it checked out.
