Default Bigger is better

Finally got my IS350 bbk installed. So for those of you guys wondering if you can swap IS250 small brakes with a IS350 bbk YES YOU CAN! It's pretty much a direct swap: rotors, calipers, and splash guards.

Special thanks to Tommy @ Musicbox for the install and Nigel for some parts.

Enough talking on the pics:

IS250(296mm) rotor vs IS350 (334mm) rotor:

Fully mounted: (yes i know decal is backwards... i'll fix it when i have time )

The closest clearance ever... 2mm lol

Before:

After much better:

Spotted Tommy's new projector car.

Arent your lexus decals the wrong way round? They look a lot better with the words facing the other way IMO

Nice upgrade! It fills out the wheel much better. But, like everyone else said, fix those decals.

LOL...I could only get as close as 3mm?? and I had to shave down the front calipers a little bit to fit a 3mm spacer?? There must be something different on the IS250 that allows the smaller spacer. Why not just add the 1 extra mm (3mm spacer) or just go 5mm? There is going to be some flex so you will hit the caliper. I dont thing you will damage the rims but it will chip/nick up those nicely painted calipers.

Looks great Tony

o well i like my decals both going the same direction.

Yeah this is with the 5mm spacer and we could only stick about 3 sheets of paper in the gap.

i'd stick a bigger spacer on the front wheels to be safe...that gap looks a little too close for comfort.

Or you can use this as an excuse to get new wheels with a more appropriate offset

nice set up bro...my calipers are pretty close to my Varianzas as well. too close for comfort. i wanna buy bigger spacers but like the way the wheels are sitting right now...flushed with the fender. u planning to get bigger spacers? mines are 19X8.5 +35 in the front.
