i just noticed last night the scuff plates were not illuminated when i opened the door. Any idea why this might be the case? i checked it with the car in drive then in park and even with the aux brake engaged.
does the car have to be in a certain "mode" for them to be working?

loose connection? Pop open the plate and see if it got loose.
Seeing as how you're driving the 2007, I really don't see how much could go wrong w/ith it
maybe the door light setting has to be on, but I thought that was just for the 06.

you guys prove yet again to be geniuses![Woot](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/woot.gif)
i figured it was some setting that allowed them to turn on. i just had never noticed that if the interior lights weren't set to door, they wouldnt turn on.
thanks!

I personally prefer the wiring hack so that my light settings can stay off. My interior is illuminated by the scuff plates, foot well lights, and clear coutesy lamp. The back seats are meant to stay dark

Wow! Good thing that I found this thread since I also thought that my scuff plates had gone out on me! Specially since I have done the turn signal mod also and thought I had messed something up with that. All I had to do was turn the light switch back on. Thanks Guys!!!!
