Japan Launches Red Edge Black Interior for IS
This special edition interior is available in both the IS 250 & IS 350 models, but not the IS convertible or the IS-F. It’s also Japan-only, limited to 500 units, and will be commanding a ¥222,000 ($2,250 USD) premium over the regular model when it goes on sale at the end of March.

Wow - change the thread from black to red and charge $2250! 
Seems like a high price to pay for a change that hardly anyone can see. I can certainly think of a few things that I'd rather pay $2K+ for.
Still, I guess that's the price you pay for exclusivity.

same concept as making a car lighter by removing things from the vehicle giving it a fancy italian name like supperleggera and charging an arm and a leg more for it

I was expecting a real two-tone interior. Black and red would look very sexy. But changing just the thread and charging more than $2k for it is kinda lame. 
The $2k JDM fogs looks like a bargain now compared to this.
