ok, for the rear lip how much cutting will i have to do to fit a toms rear? will i be cutting more then the GFX? (i hear i dont even have to cut for the gfx rear)
Thanks
^^
1 finger in the rear, 1 3/4 fingers n the front. i have a staggered wheel setup now, with low offsets in the rear, making the rear gap almost non-existant. with stockies, the tein s may not do it for you.
i wish i spent the extra $60 on road magnets. tein s have the second biggest spring drop - 1.7" front, 1" rear. road magents are 2" all around.
otherwise, the tein s are great for daily driving. i cant notice a difference with bumps or road noise. minimal scraping. however, the tein s drop puts you in the same ballpark as many bmw stock wheel gaps. my lex isnt noticeably "dropped" to the average eye. which is why i wish i went road magnets.
i mean a 18 inch work vsxx is lighter than a 19 inch work vsxx
im not comparing apples to oranges
and when your dealing with high end forged wheels like volk and work i think the price difference between 18s and 19s is something to consider. At least in my case.
Depening on the wheel, there is some truth to that but it is dependent on wheel + tire combo.
The same tire for 18" can be heavier than 19" tire such that the overall weight of 19" wheel + tire is lighter than 18" wheel + tire. Assuming same model wheel and tire + appropriate sizes.
My co-worker told me this because he went with 19" combo for his M3 instead of 18"s becuase of this reason plus hte looks. In his case, it was the tires which made the overall weight for the 18" combo heavier even thou the 19" in wheel was slighty heavier than the 18" version.
