Rear truck lid - Spoiler holes? Trade maybe?
So, my new IS350 has the little factory spoiler on the rear trunk lid. I dont want a spoiler and want it removed but the dealer said it has holes drilled in the trunk lid and I would have to get them welded, patched, and then paint the lid.
Is this true? Is there holes? I assume so, but I was wondering if anyone can confirm.
If there is holes, does anyone own a tungsten pearl IS and want to trade lids? ;-)

you don't have to weld on a piece of metal to fill in the holes. You could just apply bondo over it and get it repainted. But then you might see small dips where the holes used to be... so to answer your original question: Yes there are holes.

i have to agree it looks better with the spoiler. You could always get a ISF style, CF, or some aftermarket trunk spoiler (INGS, Jun-tw, etc.)
