Don't waste your time checking gas mileage on that tank.

I can beleive it, it's due to the keyless start/stop button routine.

I can't believe i did this.

Thanks
I'm sure some of our members who commute during rush hour in Los Angeles or Washington DC traffic do this on a regular basis.

I wouldn't worry about damage to the car from this.

This happens on the 450h all the time because it is silent unless the air conditioner is on. The beep to remind you it is on is pretty faint... I wish they did something more to remind you.

I leave my car on idle when I watch movies inside my car, cuz I gotta charge my laptop during the movie lol.

I think its fine, other than wasting a lot of gas and my car wets itself (wet spot from dripping exhaust tips).

You're very lucky this didn't happen in an attached garage as people could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Same thing that happens if the fob is inside. The car is running--you can drive it away, just like a car running with the key in the ignition.

Though it wasn't during a rush hour commute, I easily "idled" (or close to it) for a good 9 hours+ heading back to MD from VA beach.

Unless your cooling system isn't working properly, the worst you'll do is burn gas and increase your carbon footprint.

I left my car running idle for more than 6 hours, without AC and it was summer! it was HOT inside! (at night) the ODO screen turned from blue to violet. and the CD player wasn't working. I let it cool down for an hour maybe, and starting getting better and better slowly :P
