Default Any DIY for Ings Lip Kit?

Alright guys,

About to purchase this kit, just wondering how difficult its gonna be to install? Could it be done at home with a friend or better off with a shop? I tried searching and saw a few DIY for the GFX kit and one fabulous replica. Please share your thoughts and any reference. Thanks.

...all I did was just snapped it on, it's held on tight without tape or bolts..just that if you just snap it on..if somebody really wants it, they can steal it

My installation included the drilling of holes. I'd rather have it on with screws making it difficult to steal. You're probably better off having a shop do it. I did it through a shop so that I wouldn't be mad at myself if I messed up haha. I think painting it you might be able to do yourself. I've repainted my front lip due to rock chips on my own before, and I may have to do it again this weekend. Oh yeah I scratched my sideskirt trying to park on a curved curb about 20 minutes ago... GRRR! Oh well, time to touchup.

OH YEAH one more thing, if you have a shop install it, it's much easier for you to take pieces off (in the case of a repaint) if you needed cuz you'll know where the pieces bolt up to.

Dangy, there's a shop in my area that can put any OEM paint color into an aerosol can. There used to be quite a few automotive paint shops that used to do this, but not so many anymore. Try calling automotive paint shops around your area to see if they do this service. These aerosol cans are great for touching up lip kits and scratch areas! Costs me about $30 per 12 oz can. Better than paying a place around $100 or more to RE-PAINT a front lip that most likely will get rock chips again. Plus the satisfaction of DIY!

I've heard of Paintscratch.com, but I like being able to go back to my local shop in case the paint came out funky.
