i have about 20k on mine. still the same ol crappy clutch with the shuttering noise, pretty much the only thing that bothers me. ive learned to drive it without grinding, but the shuttering noise is my biggest pet peeve.

i'm pushing 35k miles and i guess i'm one of the lucky ones. no problems besides the occasional shudder when taking off in first. i've heard a really bad manual before and mine sounds nothing like that.

Thats good to hear. I bought my car used with 25k and it needed a new clutch. The dealer covered it. Im just wondering if its worth keeping the car or should I get rid of it while I have the chance. I Bought this car for the long hall, but after hearing all these problems I have no trust in this tranny. I am good for 100k miles at least on a clutch. I dont know if the previous owner couldnt drive or the design just sucks on these gear boxes....... What to do???? My other option is trade for a 330i

Mine is 100% perfect. No noise, fluttering or grinding. Plan to get the fsport quick shifter in the future.

at what point does the dealer cover the clutch up to exactly?

im around 25k KMs, same **** from the first day of the car just, dont got any grinds tho. But I dont mind burning out my clutch n get it covered before the warrenty ends.. and see if they can work in a f sport clutch instead =D

they should just compensate all MT owners wtih a f sport clutch

I can live with the jar of marble sound. And for me the shifts are not the best but acceptable. I just worry in 30k miles the dealer will tell me I need a new tranny clutch fly wheel etc. with a 6k bill attached. lol I really want to trust this car.I know the motor is solid but the tranny seems to be an issue
