Default 18" Tires choice

I need some advice for tires decision. I will receive F-Sport 18"x8" wheel sets tomorrow from customs and have to find tires for them. I decided to run all wheel with 225/40R18. Please suggest your opinion which model is better choice;

1. Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 ($214/each)
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
2. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A ($215/each)
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
3. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ($238/each)

Thanks for share your idea...

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11

I don't sure why the supplier staff recommend this for me. He said " RE-11 is Better performance than PS2 "

PS2's will definitely be the best choice but seriously that is alot of tire for an IS250. Your other choices look fine.

Just remember, these expensive high performance summer tires won't last long (~20-25k mi).

Lastly, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
The most expensive choice...

aren't the F-Sport wheels for RWD supposed to 19" staggered? I thought 18" was for AWD ...

Thats going to be a very thin wheel tire setup. I would go with 235s all the way around.

You can still fit the 18" on RWD. He probably went 18" all around so he can rotate his tires.

Normally, 18" model is for AWD. But 19" tires are not easy to find and the price go double from 18". Especially, if I travel out of capital city or town, most of small shop don't have 19" available. So, 19" may not proper for me.

I think no problem to run F-Sport 18"x8" with RWD. They are the same hub spec. I may install 15mm ibachiV2 spacer in rear to make it look better.

I don't sure that to run 235/40/R18 will rub the front wheel when turning or not. The manufacturer just recommend 225/40/R18. And lastly, how about to run 235/40/R18 with 18"x8"? Will they look good?

Depends on your climate. If you have lots of rain and cold weather, only get an all-season tire such as a Toyo Proxes 4. If the weather is warm, never lower than 60F, then I would say its safe to go with high performance summer tires. I would choose the Toyo T1R.

Yes, i know none of these tires are listed in your thread as options. But I am partial to Toyo.

I'm running 235/40/18 and have no problem. Personally I think 235 looks and drives better.
