Default Considering new setup - HP Design Take Over II

Hey all,

I'm considering stepping up to a 20" wheel. I'm running 19" 5zigen's almost slammed on my tein SS's. I'm happy with the ride (no rub) right now but am looking for alittle more clearance as I'm installing the Siebon ING+1 replica kit. Technically I don't NEED new wheels but I'm just using this as an excuse

So here is the setup i'm looking at:
Front:
HP Design Take Over II
20 x 8.5 +38
235/30/20

Rear:
HP Design Take Over II
20 x 10 +40
255/30/20

I've been researching this setup for awhile and just want to see if anyone has any feedback. Good or bad

Btw my car is TP, havent seen any ALL flat black wheels on a TP yet.

<img src="http://www.hpdesignwheels.com/wheels/images/takeoverii_blk.jpg">

I did a test fit of the front lip and sides that I can post pics later tonight. I plan on leaving the front CF and painting the sides and rear TP but leave the cutout for the rear CF.

Thanks!

As promised, here is my setup. I fitted up the front and sides this weekend before I send everything out to paint (well everything but the front).

Matte black Rims or keep what I have??
Also, does anyone know if HP Design has a good reputation for quality rims? I'm planning on running pretty "brave" tire sizes (might even go for a 225 in front) so any input would be nice.

Thanks.

please get lower offset...your stance will be terrible and you'll want to buy spacers in the long-run.

No its not. It's fine. He is 10" in the rear at 40mm offset. That is okay.

LOL that's not going to be flush at all...if in fact he is going for the flush look.

if he's gettin a 10" rear, he should look into the low 30's.

take a loot at calviin's car...he's running a 10.5" rear with +21 offset on a 245/35 tire

but to each his own i guess.

I really like the way Genki's ride sits so that is where I picked my offsets and tire sizes (except he is running 225 in the front but i'm not sure I want to go that low). Am I missing something here becasue this setup seems pretty agressive already?

Calvins car is not the offset to go by. It is very radical. His wheels actually sit further out from the fender, but he has so much toe that you can't tell. Recommending low 20 offsets with a 10.5 rear is crazy. You will have to super stretch your tires and roll your fenders like whoa. His car looks hot, but it probably isn't very drive-able as a DD.

Yes, you're probably right, it isn't a great DD. His Toe should be fine, just his camber is nuts...maybe close to -3 to -3.5 to fit +21 10.5 in the rear...his suspension must be super stiff...i'de hope so if he doesnt want to ruin those fenders lol
