Default Installing muffler Tips on stock exhaust? (Just for appereance)

Is this an easy project? I got under the car and looked at the stock Tips and they look like they are pretty permenent... would something like this involve a welding gun? I was hoping to add a slightly larger in diameter tip...

thanks!

They are just tips, if they are like any other tips.. they just screw onto your original tips, no welding needed.

it depends on what you want to do. gfx tips are just screw on but if you want the look of tanabe you need to cut the existing and weld. i was actually going to do that and bought some magnaflow tips that look like tanabe tips. the shop said it's difficult to cut the tips without taking off the whole exhaust. so i just buy the tanabe exhaust instead.

there are no screws / no welding for the GFX tips...just wiggle up and down while pulling out the old ones and install back the same process...

The GFX muffler tips are friction fit. To install...slide on, push in hard and angle it

And how do you deal with the old OEM tip?

Tell us what the process is, since you've actually done it.

All you literally do is pull hard and twist a little bit to take off the stock tips. I'm awaiting the S2k tips from another member ill post pics once I have them installed. The S2k tips are a little bigger and fill out the space for the exhaust area a little better esp. if you have the GFX rear bumper.

This my 4.5" x 3.0" aftermarket exhaust tips. They have to cut the oem tips off and then welded them on.
