looks great. Can you take some more pictures with the rims on the car and full shots of your car. I always thought about doing blue but IMO.

It turned out very nice. Can you post how you prepped the caliper and what materials you used? I want to paint mine black.

use brake cleaner... sand it.... then paint... and you're done =) 3 coats + 1 clear should be good

You will Want/Need a cheap wire brush to scrape off any rust

some users suggest 120 grit sandpaper, but thats harder to use than the wire brush.

also, as other users have suggested, dont use the brush that comes with the duplicolor kit, buy something better.

I used a duplicolor high temp engine enamel and gave it 3-4 layers, not sure if it was overkill. theres a DIY on this forum that tells you to give an initial light clear coat and let it set so the decals dont peel at the edges, id suggest that as well, then after 15 min, follow up with another clear coat etc.

these decals are from motogpfx

Thanks for the DIY update and pics. Besides the rotor of course, is there any place on the caliper NOT to spray? I like the black..IMO

say u already have painted calipers. do u just apply the decal on as a sticker? and it'll stay there?

also do you have to room the wheels to do this or can you just reach between the spokes to put them on?

your not suppose to apply the decal till after you paint the caliper anyway... once you apply the decal you can apply a thin coat of clear coat if you want to protect it.

IMO curved decals look better...they can easily be custom made at a local sticker shop...

i had a question about this. I am looking for the curved decals, and I also read an instructional on decal installation, it said i need to paint my caliper the color of the decal, apply the decal, then paint the caliper color, then peel the decal off. is that correct, or do you put on the decals after the paint is all done?
