Default HID fog light problem...pics & etc.

hey, so i received my HID conversion kit today form Mobile HID
~*i'm sorry if this is in the wrong section*~

and i had a problem... the lights didnt turn on after putting the plugs where they should and this and that...
what i think is i must have plugged them wrong or i dont know maybe a bad kit? or i'm stupid....
i did notice there was some grounds?(not sure if they're actually called that) but i didnt know where those went.... i followed DIY on the forums, and try to make of what the instructions told me to do....

Up's: i learn how to take my bumper off
Downs: not all the screws to the bottom are on, and no 6000k fogs

so i have some pictures, for anyone that can help me out

Thanks

the polarity is reversed, swap the wires and you will be good. other option which is better in my opinion is use the wiring that came with the hids

Alright, last pic. That thick red wire with the 'O' at the end goes on your battery's + terminal. The black 'O', you guessed it - negative terminal. Route the wiring down to the passenger side foglight. The all black connector (right below the black 'O' in the picture) is the 'trigger' for the foglights. It goes in your passenger foglight bulb plug. Trackin'? The two plugs with the yellow on them are both for the ballasts you mounted on the bumper. Then the two plugs coming off the ballast plug into each light bulb respectively.

A little word of advice, don't go test-firing your bulbs in those containers, and definitely don't turn them on with that styrofoam surrounding them, or you're going to catch something on fire.

Those + and - wires look a little short to connect to the battery terminals all the way from the fogs... ?

Hi Tommy,

I suggest putting the ballasts up behind the headlight housings so they don't have a chance of falling if those plastic zip-ties get brittle over time and break.

Once you put the power/ground wires to the battery, you should be good to go.

Here are the general instructions for hooking up the wire harness: http://www.mobilehid.com/support.htm

Just let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks.

Clifford
