Question Painting TPMS Sensors

Hey Guys,
Since I am putting on gunmetal color wheels, I think I need to paint my TPMS sensor valve stems. The standard silver will stick out on the wheels. Anyone have any suggestions on which paint to use? I will be painting the washer, nut, and part of the threads black. I don't want the paint to chip when they install the TPMS and tighten the nut down. Thanks.

I wouldn't paint them, get out a phone book and find some place local that does anodizing. Last time I had anything anodized they charged me around $30 for upto a pound of parts.

Agreed. I'd be a little worried about dipping the sensor in acid. I'd just get the mounting nuts, washer and cap dipped to match.

remember you got to get new washers and nuts every few years when you replace the gaskets.

Would you anodize them to also get them to match the chromed stock 18's?

Because the paint will chip when they tighten them down with a wrench.

Never heard of maintenance for the TPMS sensors. Is this part of service?

You dont need to do maintenance unless you take them off and reinstall. Once you have them on you probably will never need to touch them again.

Wonder if you have the rims drilled on the inner barrel for the TPMS and used a Volk valve stem on the outer? Then you wont see them. This is how mine are set up so it has 2 valve stems but only one is visible.
