Check VSC and CEL after recalls
Anyone have the Check VSC and CEL come up a few days/a week after having the recalls done? I have an '06 IS350. Back to the dealer I go
Oh well, I'm a couple hundred miles late on my oil change. I had to take it in anyway

i went to pick up my car on friday because they had told me it was ready, but when i got in it and started it, my check engine light and vsc light came on. so i left it and went back and picked it up today. They told me that the vsc light comes on when the check engine light does because they are on the same switch? They reset the light and drove it a couple of times to see if it would come back on but it didnt. The tech told me that when he did the diagnostic on the check engine light that it read engine coolant levels are low which meant an O2 sensor was about to go bad but he said they couldnt tell which of the 4 O2 sensors it was. So they gave it back to me with no check engine light on and Im driving it now. Hopefully it wont come back on

Yes, the exact thing happened to me 4 days after the recalls. Took it back and all they had to do was clear the code. Haven't had a problem since. It's been about a month and a half, now. They had no logical explanation as to why it did this.

Sometimes when I start the car it won't come on (the lights), other times it will. The car would also feel like it shifted a little weird at times before the lights ever started to come on. I don't think clearing the codes would solve the issue for me. I'm taking the car in tomorrow.
