Well, some may remember my 3 year review, saying I was pretty much done with the car. After more thought, I was over reacting a bit. Biggest reason was "family" space. After really realizing that I have had my small ones in the car a total of 15 times in the last 2 years I decided that wasn't a valid enough reason. Plus its getting closer to paid off!!! So I decided to keep it.
What better way to celebrate that putting exhaust on right?
HKS Hi-power. I did the install in about 90, including a drive to the part store to get a new bolt that was stripped. I know it sounds like a lot, but considering I did it without a lift, didn't jack it up, and also reinstalled my Joe-Z intake, I think I did okay.
I just backed her up near the end of my driveway to get some added clearance. Of course mid way through install someone up the street started watering while I was on my back in the gutter portion, and got soaked! lol.
Sounds good. Not as loud as I was expecting. Still ordered silencers as a just in case. Also, was a little worried about the size of the tips and canisters because I couldn't really find any good pictures of multiple angles. I think it is borderline. Certainly not offensive, but any bigger and...
So onto the pics!

Nice decision sticking with the IS! The HKS looks nice, how are you enjoying it? Maybe some redouts next!?!

No red outs for sure. I just don't like them. I know I know... I also don't like the IS-F tails either. I'm lame I know. I just like amber for some reason.
Outside of the IS-F sway bar, I think I'm done for a bit. (think)lol. I still gotta drive this thing 24k a year or so. I may give in and end up going with springs/shocks, but I already feel like the ride is a bit harsh thanks to 18s. I wish there was a drop of .75" that'd be perfect for me. In fact, I wish I could just drop the front .75"--- (coilovers anyone?)
If you search my old posts you can see a post I started like 3 weeks ago, about most of my reasons for selling.
HKS so far is fine. Only driven it twice. Definite drone in the 1700-2000rpm range on the inside. Not as bad as I was expecting. No freeway driving yet, so it could become a problem. Silencers are ordered though, should be here this week. I guess compared to my last two cars with exhausts its not loud (an 88mustang GT convertible Headers, No cats, flowmasters=LOUD... Then a 01 Supercharged/intercooled Mustang GT (400rwhp) with catted x pipe and magnaflow catback = pretty loud (and fast)
I like the car, and hopefully with a few tweaks I can own it another 3+ years before selling.

Check the classified for the ISF sway bar. I think lowridaz is still trying to sell his...pretty affordable too. HKS looks great btw! I just dropped the Greddy on mine and I cant stop looking back when i am walking away from my car.
