Hey just wondering I have a new IS250 I bought it only 2 months ago now off the showroom floor it was a left over 08. Anways after buying the car I realize how bad the shiftting in the car is and I was wondering if the quick shifter will fix this problem for me. My car bangs bad in 2nd and 3rd gear and doesnt seem to to shift very smoothly at all its just not what I expected at all from a lexus its not much fun to drive at all. It goes in April 13 for its 5,000 mile check up and im having them go over everything on the car cause im very dissapointed int he quality of the transmission. So if anyone has good reviews with the shifter let me know and video of it working would be great to. One last thing my clutch seems to stick a little bit when pshing it down and letting off like something is grabbing it and not smoothly releasing not sure if anyone else ahs ahd this problem either.
Thanks,
Ryan
Thanks,
Ryan

this is a common problem with manual trans. IS250s, and yes, i believe the f-sport short shifter and clutch will fix the problem. but did you not test drive the car before you bought it? didn't notice it at that time?

Well actually no I did not test drive considering it came the whole from Florida to Pennsylvania. These cars are so rare I had to have one shipped in and that was the closet one in the color i wanted. It had been sitting on there show room floor for one day down there and I got it before anyone else could. I didnt know at the time how many problems the tranny had and I never had any problems till 500 miles into owning the car.

I don't recall hearing about that problem before, and my clutch pedal definitely didn't stick. I'd definitely suggest getting it checked out when you have your appointment.
