Factory paint don't mean crap when you get something like this painted paint is paint, no one will care as long as it doesnt look like doodoo....hell, if you want, get it pained obsidan black...thats a factory paint.

lol you're stressin it too much mang...just get it painted and don't worry about if/when you sell it in the future...you may never know when that will be. So just go for it.

i've had this conversation with my mechanic who also owns a body shop, he personally told me that he wouldn't paint the roof, he said he'll do it it's better for his business, but value wise it's not a good idea to paint your roof. Vinly on the other side, you can remove it when you sell the car, or if you get sick of that color.
guess it's really up to you and what you decide, i was going to paint the roof as well, but after weighing out a few things, and that i probably won't keep the car for that long (will probably get a 335i or M3 in the future, dont' know when), it's best for me not to paint the roof.

I got mine painted for 200 bucks. looks perfect to me.
you cant go wrong either way as long as you dont get the seam in the middle if you go with vinyl.
do gloss either way, the mate looks like the car is been sitting on the sun for 3 years and the paint is fading away.
