if you are moving the numbers wont display.

if you are moving and the number is in memory, it will display the name.

when stopped it will display the numbers of an incoming call.

So wait... it doesn't display caller ID info when it'd be useful (the car is in motion so pulling the actual phone out would be dangerous)....it only displays caller ID info on the screen when the car is stopped and you could have just looked at the phone?

Wow.

Wow.
totally agreed. kind of a stupid "safety" feature from Lexus. The same for song names on the radio.

no way--the song names limit is the absolute DUMBEST safety feature. You can't display the song name by hitting "MSG", and you get that ridiculous "For your safety..." message. BUT--if you put the screen to AUDIO, the name of the song will scroll across the station button. But you have to look at the nav screen (and not at the road) for a longer period of time to see the whole artist and song name then if it just displayed the message!

Guess we should be glad they don't blank out the odometer and clock while the vehicle is moving.

totally agreed dude. i was thinking of the same thing. the longer it takes for someone to stare at the scrolling text the more dangerous. if they would just show the song title at MSG button while moving, we won't have to read the scrolling text while rear ending the front car.
