Why doesn't Lexus offer manual transmission in the IS350?

Seriously though- I think Jeff Lange summed it up well... in every measurable way sticks are inferior. That's simply a fact.

If you have some intangible, emotional, reason to want a stick, by all means you're welcome to find a car that offers one... but you're a shrinking, already tiny, minority...(and buying things for emotional, rather than practical and logical reasons, is a behavior more commonly associated with women than "manly" folk)

I have to disagree with your comments about "emotion" on car purchases. A car purchase is not always based on 100% "logic and practicality." If that were the case, I could probably come up with at least one reason why someone shouldn't have bought his/her yyy-model from xxx-brand and there is no reason why there are so many car makers with different models. What you seem to be referring to is "an mpulse buy," which is a different matter altogether.

Anyways, the folks who prefer manuals may be a dying-breed, but it is all the more reason why I find what Audi did (at least in US) very refreshing.
